  Interesting That in the Regional Convention They Are Asking for More Volunteers to Bethel

  for those of us who could sit through the program so far, i did find it interesting that they are again asking for people to apply to bethel.. i happened to speak to a friend who called and asked him why they would do that.

  his response was that, well, they need younger people there.. i guess once you are over 50 or something you are eligible to be sent out to pasture..

  Rubabud - I am glad you are monitoring your health. Make sure you don't put that thermometer in your mouth by accident.

  Play your cards right and with skills like yours, they might accept you at Baffle.

  Hi DesirousOfChange - yes I get what you are saying about employment being like modern day slavery. I agree.

  Although info might be hidden, at least we keep on and on about it. There's something about Watchtower's unjust ways that never really leaves you because it is so outrageous, crafty and dangerous. Unless you have experienced it first hand, you can't believe it. And even when you have experienced it first hand, it's still hard to believe - well that's my take on it.

  Prophesy from a JW (and others perspective). What purpose is there in trying to interpretate some of the stuff that you don't understand??

  this is not a jw-bashing thing, but it always seemed odd to me that the "excuse" when things go wrong is that "we have to wait and see how the prophesy is fulfilled" or some other wording.. my question has always been, then what is the purpose of the prophesy if you don't understand it until after the fact?

  isn't that like having a weather forecast but being told that we don't really know what the weather will be until the next day?.

  i'm sure some of the intelligent people here can guide me but in all honesty, i never understood that..

  Oh yes and the stuff you can't understand, you can't understand. Maybe because it is written in a different way to normal just like a can get a photo and 3d picture. Maybe you can have ordinary writing and 3d writing which would require a special kind of relational database (app) to read?

  Rubabud do be careful you don't catch Covid 1914 at that convention. Make sure you take your temperature regularly.

  just to remind you, the recent court decision included a judgement about wt and freedom of speech something the organisation has long prided itself about.

  infosektamedia release of july 8, 2020 7. thewatchtower organisation denies members the human right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion according to article 18 statement by the expert (tages-anzeiger)"furthermore, article 18 states that everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, a right that the watchtower society claims for itself but does not grant its members.

  " judgment of the court by ostracizing members who no longer share the faith, they are implicitly denied freedom of faith and conscience (proof of good faith).

  Given what Watchtower does with arithmetic in relation to it's 1914 doctrine and given that arithmetic is either the most powerful tool of science or is science itself (maybe that is maths not arithmetic) - Watchtower does not allow freedom to even add up two and two to get four. That hinders a member in relation to scientific equiry.

  Ever noticed how Rev 13:17 is always left out of their explanation of 666. They apply the number to politics like the image that Nebuchadnezzar set up and not pledging allegiance. But they never really explain Rev 13:17 which is specific in saying you wont be able to buy or sell:-

  (Revelation 13:17) . . .and that nobody might be able to buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name. . .
